Senior Choir excellence evidence #2
Today I had Senior Choir at 8:45. Today it was in the hall because we are performing at the celebration of learning assembly. When I got there, there were only girls there. Once Miss Harris got there we had already started our warm ups. After we had done our warm ups we sang hallelujah but after we had finished singing Miss H said that we were a little flat. Miss Harris tried a new thing, it was when we sing she says an emotion and we have to sing like it. After we had done that a couple times we tried singing hallelujah again and they said it was much better but we needed to keep our volume up. After that we sang money money money once and Miss H and Mr M liked the volume. Then matua Rihari came in and we sang hallelujah to him because it had a Maori verse in it. After we had finished singing Matua said that our pronunciation was spot on. Then we had to stop because it was 9:30 and the yrs 5/6 had Te Reo. I showed leadership by being resilient because we had to put all our effort into the song.
Peer Mediator excellent evidence #1
On Thursday at 1:10 I got the gear for Peer Mediator and went to find Ryan and Victor. Once I found them we started to walk round the field but we had to be careful because the field was very muddy and wet. After we had walked round the field a couple times there we no problems to solve so it was a bit boring. At 1:20 Mr Wallis went around the school ringing the hand bell because the Kakano team had cross country at 1:30 which is the end of lunch. When the proper bell rang the Kauri team went back to class for the last block of learning before going home. After I put the Peer Mediator gear away I told Mr McAven that I was at the Kakano cross country because I was a marshal. I showed leadership by being at the right place at the right time to do my duty.

Technology at Lincoln Excellence evidence #2
Today I had to get to school early because we had Tech at Lincoln. Once I got to school we had to be very careful because there was ice everywhere. When I finally got to class the 8:30 bell rang so I went into class because we had to do the roll to see if people were late or sick. Once we had done the roll Mr Brown said if we see someone that was late we have to tell them to go to the office so the school knew if they were here or not. When we were lining up there was only 1 bus there, so bus 2 people got to go on it while bus 1 people were still waiting. Once we left we could only talk to the person next to us so the bus driver could concentrate on the road because it was very icy. Once we got there we had to look out for ice so we had to walk not run. When we got into class we continued on with our room design. Once we had finished our room we had to wallpaper it. Ryan and I got 3 of our sides done so we only have one to go. On the way back there was only a little bit of ice on the road as the sun had melted most of the ice. I showed leadership by being self aware and talking to the person so the noise level did not get to loud and distract the bus driver.

Senior Choir excellence evidence #1
Today I had to get to school at 8:30am because I had Choir at 8:45am. When I got there, there were only about 20 people there and with every minute that went by more people came. Once a few more people and Miss Harris got there we started our warm ups. After we had done our regular warm ups the bell went and a lot more people came and then we sang the national anthem for the Christchurch music festival. After we had sang the national anthem we did the roll so the teachers and office knew if we were there or not. Next we learnt how to sing Here Comes the Sun and we went through that a couple times. Then Mr McAven came in and watched us sing till the end. Next we sang Money Money Money with Sophie playing the drums a few times and then we sang Hallelujah with Mia, Sarah and Meadow playing the guitar. We went through Hallelujah once and then we had to finish because the yr 5/6 had to go to Te Reo so Choir was finished for today. I showed leadership by being resilient when we were singing Here Comes the Sun because it was very challenging to sing. My next step is to open my mouth more so I'm not muttering when I'm singing.
