Student council Distinction evidence #10

On Wednesday I had to leave class at 12:15 because I had student council.  When I got there, there was already some people there.  After a while we did the roll to see what classes were and were not there.  We sent runners to the classes that were not there and shortly later they came.  In the meeting we talked about who did homework and who didn't.  There was 3 classes that didn't do homework.  We all suggested 1 thing and it had to be about what they want student council do be like in the future and what they do when they run the meetings.  Then we had a talk about why the classes were not doing there homework and what we can do next year to make classes do there homework.  This is also the last student council meeting for the year so there was not homework.  I showed leadership by being at the right place at the right time to attend the meeting

Senior Librarian Distinction evidence #10

On Thursday I did not have my library duty because it is stock take in the library and no one can do there duty.  So I have tried to help out by I couldn't because it needs to be done by an adult.  This blog post will be a reflective blog post about my library duty.

What is the best part about your role: It would be seeing who has got a overdue library book and sometimes telling them off.

What do you do in your role: I print overdue lists out and staple some stuff to it and put it in class piles.

I showed leadership by turning up to my duty and doing it properly.

Student Council Distinction evidence #9

On Wednesday I had to leave class at 12:10 because I had student council at 12:15.  When I got there, there was some people already there.  Once I sat down lots of other people came in and when they sat down we did the roll to see what classes were and were not there.  There was 2 classes that were not there so went sent runners to go and get them.  Once they came we started the meeting.  In the meeting we talked about what went well and what didn't go well in the pet day.  What went well was that there were lots of animals and what didn't go well was that it started raining halfway through the pet parade.  We also talked about what the student council could be like in the future e.g only year 7/8's, years 5 to 8 or other stuff like that.  I showed leadership by being at the right place at the right time to attend the meeting.

Senior Librarian Distinction evidence #9

On Thursday I didn't have to do my library duty because the library is closed for stock take,  I couldn't help out in the library in any other way so I am going to do a reflection post.  I have also turned up to my duty every week except one or two weeks.

What has been the best part about my role: is that you get to see who has got overdue books and you sometimes get to tell people.

Have you helped out any other ways in the library: yes, I have helped out many time in the mornings, at morning tea, lunchtime and after school.

Student Council Distinction evidence #8

On Wednesday I had to leave class at 12:10 because I had Student Council at 12:15.  When I got there, there was not many people there so I went and asked the office to do a ding ding because know one was there. Then they told me that student council didn't start in till 12:25 so they didn't need to do a ding ding.  When I got back to the hall I told Hannah that student council didn't start till 12:25.  When most people got there we did the roll to see what classes were and were not there.  There was 2 classes that we had to go and get, once they came we talked about what is happening on pet day.  We said that the pets go in the hall and the pet parade is at 9:30.  I showed leadership by being at the right place at the right time to attend the meeting.

Solve simple linear equations

Here are all of the screenshots of all my learning.
My next step is to slow down because I was answering the questions to fast and I kept getting them wrong. Also to solve word problems involving simple linear equations.

Te Reo, Term 4 2016

This term we have been learning all about the Marae. We have learned that…….

  • The Marae is an important focal point for the community.
  • The Marae is a place where tradition and customs can be carried out.
  • The Marae is a place where people can express their values with dignity.

  • Marae kawa (protocols) can differ between maraes and iwi.

We have focussed on some key concepts when doing this learning.
