For reading I have been learning about adverbial clauses. I have found this learning Easy because you get the hang of it easily.

In this activity, I had to find the adverbial clauses in the sentence and then highlight it in green.

Is a void messy? Why or why not?
no because it is a empty space.
Which color is the most fluorescent at night? Why?
yellow because when a car goes past when it's lights are it reflects.
Why are elderly people more vulnerable than children? Why?
because they are old and there bones are more fragile.
Which is more interconnected; a vine or a dandeloin? Why?
a vine because they are connected to each other.
Which is more seldom; the Olympics or an election in NZ? Why?
the olympics because they are 4 years apart.

How might each pair of words be connected?
Vulnerable/Fluorescent
If you were wearing dark clothes you will be vulnerable because you could get by a car.

Extended Writing
Think of a time when you felt as though you were in a void or when you saw something that happens seldom. Write a paragraph about this.
It was in my summer sport cricket last season.  I got out and I had only got about 10 runs in my innings.  With about 4 games to go I somehow stepped up and got not outs and 20-30 runs each game.  I also bagged a few wickets in these games as well.  It turned out to be a good end to the season for me.

I can describe the structure of a Short Story

Blog post title: I can describe the structure of a Short Story

Something I have learned about the structure of short stories is: They are about a page long and have lots of paragraphs.

After reading some short stories two things I will remember when I write my own short story are they have to have a problem in them and they have lots of detail in them.
